TEAM BRICK ALBERTA
TEAM BRICK ALBERTA 2012 was finalized in early April. Players attended selection camps, throughout the winter and spring, in Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton. Many players competed on the spring team of their choice until TEAM BRICK started their schedule. The players were scouted during their games this past hockey season as well as in tournament play. This year’s team traveled to Regina and Los Angeles to prepare for the tournament. TEAM BRICK is proud to represent the Province of Alberta. We would like to welcome the other teams and hope you enjoy the competition and the experience of the 23rd Annual Brick Invitational Tournament.
CHICAGO JR BLACKHAWKS
The CHICAGO JR. BLACKHAWKS were selected in late March 2012. Over 100 players attended the tryout session at the United Center. The Chicago Jr. Blackhawks are proud to have the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks as our sponsors. WE look forward to great friendships and competition at the Brick 2012.
BOSTON JUNIOR BRUINS
BOSTON, MA-The Junior Bruins “Brick” team was finalized in the late winter of 2012 after tryouts in January and the staff subsequently watching dozens of games getting additional looks at the players. The team will have played in three tournaments prior to getting to The Brick including the Edmonton-Flames Spring Classic, Toronto Invitational and Icebreaker as well as games with the CT. Yankees in Boston. The team has players from Massachusetts (13), Rhode Island (2), New Hampshire (1) and Florida (1). The Junior Bruins are excited to be back in Edmonton for the 2012 Brick tournament!
CONNECTICUT YANKEES
The CT Yankees would like to thank the Brick Competition committee and Mr. Bill Comrie for their continued support and inclusion of the CT Yankee AAA Youth Hockey program. The 2012 edition of the CT Yankees were chosen in March after a very competitive tryout.
The Connecticut Yankees players come from some of the top AAA Youth Hockey organizations on the East Coast including the Mid Fairfield Yankees, New Jersey Colonials, Team Comcast, Mercer Chiefs, Long Island Royals, New England Falcons and CT Huskies.
The team has been practicing regularly since the team was chosen and coaches, parents and players are all looking forward to experiencing “The Brick”. The Yankees are coached by: Guy Gadowsky, Bill Maniscalco, and Lance Marciano. Guy Gadowsky was named the Penn State head coach on April 24 2011, bringing with him 15 years of head coaching experience, including the last seven at Princeton University. Bill Maniscalco is currently coaching at Avon Old Farms School. Lance Marciano played prep school hockey at Choate Rosemary Hall, graduating in 1987.
WINNIPEG JUNIOR JETS
The Winnipeg Jr. Jets Hockey Team was finalized in January of 2012. These fine young athletes are proud and excited to represent Manitoba both on and off the ice in Edmonton Alberta. The Jr. Jets are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Brick Super Novice Invitational Tournament. Having the Pro Jets back in Manitoba makes this year extra special for our Jr. Jets. The Winnipeg Jr. Jets players, coaches, and parents would like to thank the tournament directors and volunteers for providing our team a once in a life time opportunity to compete in the Brick Tournament. We would like to wish all the teams competing good luck. Go Jets Go!
DETROIT LITTLE CAESARS RED WINGS
Little Caesars, the parent organization of the Detroit Red Wings, has supported AAA hockey since 1968, the year the Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club was founded. This organization remains one of the most respected and competitive amateur hockey organizations in North America. Currently, 29 Little Caesars AAA alumni are playing, or have played, in the National Hockey League. Hundreds of others have established collegiate and/or pro hockey careers. It is from this foundation that this year’s Detroit Red Wings Brick Team is built.
CALIFORNIA 02’S
The sixteen player roster of the California 2002’s formed in late April and began training in late May attending the Carmen Starr Memorial Day tournament in El Segundo, California and the 2nd Annual LA Brick Exhibition Series in June. Made up of players from California, Arizona, and Ontario the Cali Sonia team extends a hearty thank you to all of the Brick Tournament organizers, volunteers, and sponsors and wish all participating teams a week of great games at the best hockey tournament in the world.
TEAM MINNESOTA
To better support the Initiatives of the Brick Tournament this year, The Minnesota Blades Organization is proud to have evolved into Team Minnesota. This move has enabled us to attract the best and most talented kids within our Minnesota boundaries. Our organization has worked tirelessly this past year to find the right caliber of players to meet the talent expectations of playing in the prestigious Brick Tournament. We look forward to competing against the best '02's in North America. ‑‑On behalf of the coaching staff, players and parents, we would like to thank all of the tournament volunteers and organizers for providing these young hockey players a once in a life time opportunity to compete in The Brick Tournament. MONTREAL ICE STORM
The Montreal Ice Storm Brick Team is looking forward to competing in the 2012 Brick Tournament in Edmonton from July 2nd to 8th. This year’s team was selected after extensive scouting and tryouts, and is drawn from across the province of Quebec, with players from the regions of Montreal, Laval, Quebec City, Victoriaville, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Jonquiere and La Beauce. The experienced coaching staff feels that the 2012 team should compete hard in the tournament and be full measure for the competition it will face in Edmonton. The Montreal Ice Storm is proud to represent Quebec at the Brick Tournament, and extends a big “merci” to The Brick Warehouse and all of the sponsors and volunteers who contribute to making this tournament the great experience that it is and one that players and parents will remember for many years to come. We are all looking forward to a week of fun and great hockey in Edmonton!
TEAM SASKATCHEWAN JR PATS
After back to back appearances in the Championship game, and losing a heartbreaker in triple overtime, Team SASK is looking for redemption to win the Brick Tournament. The team held their first tryout in August and then over the Christmas break, and continued to have two more ice times. For tryouts, we feel we have selected the best players our province of Saskatchewan has to offer, we hope to be very competitive and have another good showing at this years tournament. The Jr. Pats will also be competing at the Winnipeg River City Tournament. Good luck to all the participants. Enjoy the Week.

The 2012 Toronto Bulldogs Team is a hardworking, gritty, and focused group of individuals, who when put together, exemplify the core values of a team. Their achievements prior to the Edmonton Brick Tournament have been realized because of their commitment of working together, for each other. TORONTO PRO HOCKEY
The 2012 Pro Hockey Brick team is a truly diverse and special group. The coaching staff has spent over a year choosing the best possible team of available players across Ontario and parts of the United States. The team is composed of players from the GTHL, OMHA, Alliance and the Philadelphia Region. We started this journey in April with an opening camp. They entered into 3 tournaments and finished with a 15-2-1 record. Prior to the Brick, the boys had a final tune up camp, where the team built even more chemistry necessary to succeed in Edmonton. The boys are determined to represent themselves and their families with class. Good Luck Boys!
BC JUNIOR CANUCKS
The BC Jr. Canucks are very honored to be representing the Province of British Columbia in this great event. Formerly as the Vancouver Vipers this is the second year that the program is represented in Canucks colors. With players from Victoria, Nanaimo, Vernon, Vancouver area communities as well as St. Louis Mo. We are grateful for the event that the Brick provides for all of us to enjoy. ATLANTIC CANADA JUNIOR SELECTS
This is the second season for Team Atlantic at The Brick Tournament and we are thrilled to be part of the most prestigious hockey tournament for ten year olds in the world. This year our team has players from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island as well as two players from New Jersey. Our team has been carefully selected over the last three months and the roster was finalized in May. Our players and families are looking forward to all the experiences “The Brick” has to offer.
